Area Manager

Little Peoples Early Learning Centres are a family-operated group of childcare services across the Illawarra. As our organisation continues to grow, we are welcoming Expressions of Interest from experienced early childhood leaders who may be interested in future opportunities within a senior Area Manager role.

The Area Manager role at Little Peoples involves overseeing a portfolio of centres, working closely with Centre Supervisors and educators to provide guidance, mentorship, and consistent leadership. A key part of this role is ensuring that all centres operate in alignment with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and maintain the highest standards of compliance, safety, and quality practice.

What the Role Typically Involves:

  • Supporting, mentoring, and developing Centre Supervisors across multiple services
  • Ensuring centres follow all elements of the NQF, including NQS, EYLF, and regulatory requirements
  • Guiding teams to maintain strong compliance, documentation, and operational practices
  • Assisting with continuous improvement planning and Assessment & Rating preparation
  • Providing oversight of day-to-day operations, staffing support, and centre development
  • Building warm, professional relationships with educators, families, and the wider community
  • Promoting consistency and quality across all Little Peoples services
