Meet Jessica, Your Centre Supervisor
Hi, my name is Jessica and I am the Nominated Supervisor of Little Peoples Early Learning Centre Woonona.
I began working for Little Peoples in 2016 when I was 17 years old, completing my Cert III Traineeship at Horsley Little Peoples. I then continued my studies completing my Diploma in Early Childhood at our Oxford centre where I spent 2 years working with the toddlers. After completing my Diploma I was promoted to Baby room leader. Through the next year of my journey I fell pregnant and went of to have my beautiful baby boy who is now 3 years old. After coming back from maternity leave, I joined the team at the Gwynneville centre, this is where my journey as a leader began. Having the opportunity to work alongside some beautiful leaders who helped shape who I am today. In August 2024 I was promoted to Nominated Supervisor at Woonona where I continue to work with beautiful educators who continue to help me grow, as I help them grow.
As an educator I believe children have the right to have a learning environment where they can feel safe and have a range of opportunities to explore. I believe each child is different and should be treated with respect to help them develop in their own way. I believe children learn most when they feel secure and connected to their educators and their learning environment. I believe forming a positive relationship with not only the children, but the family is important as it helps me get to know the child’s individual personality and their cultural background. I aim to work in collaboration with families to gain knowledge and a better understanding of their child. This knowledge will be used to form a child interest-based curriculum. I aim to create a positive environment, create areas for each different development stage and cultural background.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us to book a tour with one of our friendly educators to see if our service is the right fit for you and your child!
Yours sincerely,
Jessica
