Meet Amanda , Your Centre Supervisor

Hi, my name is Amanda and I am the Nominated Supervisor at our Wollongong Service.

My Little Peoples Journey began in 2009 when I completed my Certificate III Traineeship at our St Helens Park Service. I furthered my education through Diploma and University earning the promotion to Nominated Supervisor at Little Peoples Ingleburn in 2016 where I lead an experienced team of educators for 6 years. I transferred to our Brooks Reach Service in March 2022 and took time off from 2022-23 to have my baby daughter.

I was pleased to be offered this position at Wollongong upon my return from maternity leave.  It is my goal to lead the team of Educators and strive to provide the best quality of care for your little ones whilst forming and maintaining meaningful relationships with our children, families and the greater community.

Our classrooms are very child-centered and allow the children to self-guide their learning with the support of their peers, educators and educational environment. Our programs consist of many experimental play opportunities and social-driven experiences in order for children to learn through their play and explore and use trial and error thinking strategies.

Our wonderful Educators use their skills and knowledge to encourage all of the children in our care to explore, create, imagine and take risks in all aspects of the program as this is essential in making the children feel a sense of belonging and connectedness with their world.

I believe it is my role as an early childhood educator to give each and every child the same chance for quality education and start in life. I believe it is important for the children to feel safe and supported in their home and educational environments and that this helps them to grow and develop with confidence. I consider every child to be unique and special in their own way and it is my vision to help them thrive.

As an experienced Educator and Educational leader, I strive to create programs that are based on the principles of respect, responsibility and community, through play, discovery, and exploration. As a leader and Nominated supervisor, I strive to mirror those principles to my team of educators and reflect the values and ideas of others within our community as a whole. I also recognise the big part that everyone plays in our lives of our little ones. It really does take a village to raise a child and we have our own village here at Little Peoples.

Feel free to contact us to enquire and book-in a tour of our service and meet our friendly team.

Our Service receives fresh and nutritious meals delivered to us daily by Kids Gourmet Food.  The menu rotates every six weeks exposing children to the broadest range of flavours, textures and ingredients, while ensuring they are receiving the recommended nutritional intake every day.
