Meet Victoria, Your Centre Supervisor

My name is Victoria (Yao Shi) and I am the Nominated Supervisor of Oxford Multicultural Childcare in Wollongong.

I have been offered this valuable opportunity to be the Nominated Supervisor which allows me to bring and share my prior experience and knowledge which I have obtained through my previous role as the Room Leader in the preschool room and responsible person at Oxford Multicultural Childcare Centre.

I am traditionally from China, moving to Australia in 2014.

Australia is now home and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

I have completed my Master Degree in Early Childhood Teaching (Birth to 5 years old) and also a Bachelor of Musical Education. Collectively, I use both qualifications to facilitate a simulating and nurturing environment for all children.

I have committed myself to this industry of early childhood education, believing early childhood is at the core of future and lifelong learning. My mother is an early childhood teacher and she told me this career is the most rewarding job in the world, as well as it’s the most demanding job.

I pride myself on my ability to support educators, children and families, and provide quality education in accordance with the National Quality Standards and The Early Years Learning Framework. At Oxford, our curriculums are planned based on your child’s interests and abilities.

We use our understanding of each child to ensure we are meeting all their developmental needs.

Our friendly team of educators strive to deliver an inclusive and welcoming learning environment that enables children from different cultures and backgrounds to feel welcome whilst children reach their fullest potential. Our centre offers children a variety of opportunities to explore, discover, create and take initiative in their own learning processes.

Please don’t hesitate to call to see our centre for yourself. We look forward to meeting you and your family!

Meals

Morning tea, Lunch & Afternoon tea are all provided

At Little Peoples we believe that healthy eating habits are formed in early childhood and that children’s nutrition is important to their health and life long development, that is why our nutritional menu incorporates the daily dietary requirements of children.

Our Service receives fresh and nutritious meals delivered to us daily by Kids Gourmet Food.  The menu rotates every six weeks exposing children to the broadest range of flavours, textures and ingredients, while ensuring they are receiving the recommended nutritional intake every day.
