Early Learning Centre Horsley (Habeda Avenue)

Our Little Peoples Early Learning Centre Horsley (Habeda Avenue) is located in the heart of the Horsley (Habeda Avenue) suburb. Caring for children from the age of 6 weeks to 6 years old, our programs based off the Early Years Learning Framework, focusing on Being, Belonging, and Becoming are tailored to each child. Transition to School Program is a large part of our Preschool Room. Open 52 weeks a year, only closing for Public Holidays means we are able to provide long opening hours for our hard working families. Recently renovated, our centre provides a wide range of resources for all ages including computers and a smart screen, a spacious outdoor learning area, and we have been registered as SunSmart with the Cancer Council.

Horsley (Habeda Avenue) Nominated Supervisor’s Profile

Hi my name is Rosemary and I am the Nominated Supervisor at Little Peoples Early Learning Centre Horsley (Habeda Avenue).

I first started my journey with Little Peoples as a trainee in 2012 at the Berkeley centre. During my time with Little Peoples I have completed my Certificate III, Diploma in children’s services and also my Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Teaching – birth to 5 years). Over the 8 years that I had spent at Little Peoples Berkeley I have had the opportunity to progress through many roles and have had the privilege to work alongside many inspiring and experienced educators that have helped me grow into the educator I am today.

I believe that families are children’s first and most influential teachers, therefore it is extremely important that educators and families work in partnership with one another to support children in reaching their individual potential. At Little Peoples Horsley (Habeda Avenue) we strive to build positive relationships with families and encourage families to share their ideas and contributions to build a meaningful program for the children.

As an educator I also believe that children learn best through a play based approach. As it allows them to explore, discover, create, make choices, solve problems, make connections and build new understandings through a hands-on approach. As an educator it is such a rewarding experience engaging alongside children and supporting them in their learning journey to be confident and capable individual learners. At Little Peoples Horsley (Habeda Avenue) we develop a program and environment that is based on the interest and strengths of the children so every child has the opportunity to thrive.

I am dedicated to creating learning environments which are stimulating and inviting within a secure and caring homelike atmosphere. They also should reflect identities of the children and families at the service. While also promoting opportunities for children to engage in social groups or one-on-one.

Please feel free to come and meet myself and our friendly team at Horsley (Habeda Avenue). We look forward to welcoming you and your family into our centre.

Morning tea, Lunch & Afternoon tea are all provided

At Little Peoples we believe that healthy eating habits are formed in early childhood and that children’s nutrition is important to their health and life long development, that is why our nutritional menu incorporates the daily dietary requirements of children.

All meals are specially prepared in the centre.

If your child has any special nutritional needs, food allergies or sensitivities, please let your centre supervisor know.

Our centres are a ‘nut & egg free’ environment.
